Fairfield High has joined hands with Future Care Mobile Dental Services (FCMDS) which provides general dental care services to children. The company provides only those services which are covered under the Medicare scheme a Commonwealth funded Child Dental Benefit Schedule, CDBS.
Although the school is facilitating this service, all enquiries related to their services and treatment will need to be addressed to the ‘Future Care Mobile Dental Services' . Parents are strongly advised to read the information in relation to eligibility for the program carefully.
The FCMDS team will answer any questions you may have prior to the program commencing on Tuesday 19/7/16.
The CDBS (Child Dental Benefit Schedule) has a means test, which requires receipt of Family Tax Benefit A (FTB-A) or a relevant government. The payment Future Care Mobile Dental Services are at no cost to the school or parents depending on eligibility.
FCMDS will provide the following services to students upon receiving completed permission and medical questionnaire forms;
- FREE dental health education
- FREE comprehensive oral examination and treatment plan (including Children not eligible for CDBS)
- Cleaning of teeth and fluoride application (bulk billed under the CDBS)
- Fillings (after obtaining consent from parents - bulk billed under the CDBS)
As the scheme is available to all eligible children between the ages of 2 to 17 - if you have any siblings who aren't currently attending the school but would like them examined, they can also take advantage of the services.
