Fairfield High School will be holding a Senior Transition Evening for Year 10 students and their parents on Monday the 5th of September at 5pm in the school Auditorium. The evening will involve a brief presentation about the various options for senior study and then there will be an opportunity for parents and students to speak to representatives from the various faculties about specific subjects.
Your child will be commencing study in the senior years of their schooling in 2017. As such, they will need to make a number of important decisions regarding the subjects they wish to study for these final years. The subjects they select will shape their eligibility for the HSC, whether they will receive an ATAR and the options available to them once they complete high school.
It is compulsory that all students attend along with a parent or caregiver. On the night, subject selection forms will be issued to the students who attend with a parent. These forms can be submitted from the next morning (Tuesday, 6th September). Students will be given preference in the subjects they choose based on the order that they submit their forms. If students do not attend on the evening, they may miss out on their preferred subject.
