Our brand is who we are. It's the set of ideas, emotions, and associations that come to mind whenever anyone thinks about Fairfield High School. It's on our uniforms, our signage, our mailings and in every true communication that comes from us. But it's more than that too. Our brand is in all of our activities – from talking to our teachers, our students and our community right through to all our departments and services. It's also there in the way you talk to your peers and the way you interact with everyone else on behalf of Fairfield High School.
After much consultation with our community, Fairfield High School has decided to renew our school brand and update our school emblem/logo. Reasons for this update include
- developing a more modern future-focused design concept
- renewal of school "brand" to be as professional as neighbouring schools
- the coinciding of our review of uniform and uniform supplier
- efficient standardisation of all correspondence to be similar in style and design
- the need to have a high-quality logo file to use with printers and publishing companies
The Fairfield High School brand evolution references the "Lansdowne Bridge" and is sympathetic to the original school emblems."Lansdowne Bridge was built by convicts from 1834-36 and is considered to be one of the finest examples of Colonial Architecture in Australia. The sandstone arch has the largest span of any surviving masonry bridge in Australia and the size, appearance, and durability of this
bridge make it an outstanding example of colonial engineering." Overall this bridge improved the lives of all convicts and free settlers by making access from Sydney to Liverpool quicker and easier and is
still standing and in use today (Hume Highway – Lansdowne). In addition, it is an impressive example of the work of convicts is to be celebrated, admired and remembered forever via Fairfield High School's logo. Anyone, no matter what their circumstances in life, can be a part of creating history and improving the lives of others around them.
