I would just like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your support in ensuring that our Reconciliation ceremonies ran smoothly today. Our students were very well behaved and receptive, thank you for your active supervision. Each speaker represented our school incredibly and our Aboriginal students were proud to share about their culture with their peers and staff.
I would like to specifically thank Ms Clarke and Ms Bardouh for their support supervising and for their role at the beginning and at the end of each ceremony in releasing students. Ms Dmitrieff and Ms Boughton for all their help with morning tea for our special guests (thank you so so so much!).
I hope that this ceremony results in our student's knowledge and understanding of Reconciliation being enriched and their appreciation for Aboriginal culture strengthened. Furthermore, I hope that as a school we are able to continue to share the message of Reconciliation (All Australian's walking together in unity).
