Ms Hogan (SSO) and Ms Coonan (HT Welfare) are excited to be taking a group of Year 9 and 10 students to the Royal Botanical Gardens RUOK? event on September 1 as part of our school focus on Mental Health and Wellbeing.
Outcomes from the day for well-being:
• Emotional resilience
• Connectedness
• Communication skills
• A sense of personal wellbeing
• Suicide safety
Highlights of the day:
• A fun outdoor active session run by
athletes.
• A creative music session with up and coming
singer songwriter James Van Cooper.
• Immersive workshop activities lead by poets
educators and Aboriginal Education staff from
Creating RUOK? champions:
On their return to school. We hope that they will pass
on the messages and skills that they have learnt on
the day, to help grow a healthier and more resilient
school community.
