Travel to school
Planning your school travel is easy. There are a range of safe transport options to get to our school. Check our location map, driving details and public transport options to help make the journey to school safe and easy.
Location map
We are located at The Horsley Drive, NSW 2165 Fairfield.
Use School Finder to confirm if you live in our local intake area.
Catching public transport
Public transport is a great way to safely get to and from school.
Catching a bus
A high standard of behaviour is expected of our students, travelling on a school bus. Students travel for free and are expected to give up their seat for a paying passenger. You are reminded that you are an ambassador for the school when in uniform and on school buses.
Catching a train
Fairfield High School is conveniently located within walking distance of Fairfield Train Station, making it easy for students and visitors to travel by public transport.
Bicycles and Scooters
Your safety is of the highest priority to the school and your parents. Please take care when riding your bicycle or scooter to the school. Helmets must be worn. On arrival your bicycle or scooter must be left at the bike rack near the Library. You are advised to secure your bicycle, scooter and helmet with a lock and chain. Under no circumstances are students to ride bikes or scooters in school grounds.
Walking
Some students live close enough to school to walk. Care should be used when crossing roads, and use of the overhead bridge and traffic lights is essential for student safety.
Car Travel
The School strongly discourages senior students driving cars or riding motor cycles to school. However, if a vehicle is to be used, the following conditions must be met:
- Students driving vehicles must hold a valid driver's licence, and conform to the road rules including wearing seatbelts and driving in a safe manner. Students are not allowed to travel as a passenger in a vehicle driven by another student.
- Cars may not be parked within the school grounds. Students must not go to their cars between arriving at the school and leaving for home.
